Camp Driftwood. Winter at Driftwood

Previous. Next.
Dramatic contrasts characterize the winter months.

Snowmobiling and downhill skiing enthusiasts will find first-class facilities within easy reach of our cabins.

Exciting events on the winter calendar include the annual Country Christmas Tour, Winter Festival, Snowmobile Races, and Poker Run.

There is a free town ski hill and skating rink in Indian Lake village.

Local roads and highways are extremely well maintained, and winter driving is usually not a problem.

For those who like to experience true quiet, there are hundreds of miles of trails for cross country skiing, snowshoeing and winter hiking.

The abiding peace of a snowy, silent night is something everyone should experience. Sometimes it is so still that one can literally hear the snow falling.

Three of our cabins are fully winterized and available all year round. The Poplar and the Apple both have central heat as well as Vermont Castings stoves that you can use "fireplace-style". Firewood is provided free of charge at all times of year. The Pine cabin is for the economy-minded - well-heated, but lacking central heat. The Birch cabin may also be available and suitable for weather as low as the single digits, but lack of long-range weather forecasting prevents us from taking anything but last-minute reservations on this cabin.

Cabin rates are discounted before Christmas, after President's Week and during weekdays. Click here for details.
